Vamsi.net is the personal website/weblog of Vamsi Nath. The site provides a creative outlet for Vamsi to share his thoughts and aspirations with friends, family and the internet community in general.
The site was developed on a Windows 98 machine using Allaire's Homesite for all coding purposes. The site is currently hosted with WebMages, a rather nice and inexpensive webhost provider. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a home for your personal website and if you do end up signing up, please mention my name so I can get the referral bonus :-) The server OS is Linux, running Apache with PHP4 and a back-end MySQL database.
All dynamic content on the site is generated through PHP, including the custom weblog application written by Vamsi.
The site is best viewed in Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher at 1024x768 and 16-bit color. If you're system cannot support these standards, you should seriously think about upgrading. If you are running Netscape, the site may look less then optimal, but then that is the price you pay for using an inferior browser :)
